Its been about 3 weeks now that I have been back in training and I have been really enjoying myself. I have been training with friends everyday and eventhough I am not training as hard as I would normally be, I am getting back into reasonable shape and having a lot of fun in the process.
I have been doing the river races every weekend which has been great, as I get to see so many of the local paddlers that I normally would not get to socialise with and I get to enjoy shooting the rapids. Last weeekend I won the 2 day Klip which I really enjoyed and this weekend coming I will taking part in the 50 Miler which is also a 2 day event that takes place on the Dusi River. Its been 7 years since I paddled on the Dusi so it will be a good test to see how well I handle the rapids.
