Its with a heavy heart that I write this post, having failed to achieve my goals of making it through to the finals. Both my semi final races were really good and I raced as hard as I could, but unfortunately on both days I was beaten by 3 faster paddlers and therefore couldnt advance through to the finals. While I am disappointed I am definately not down. I am holding my head up high because I did the best that I could and already I have my eyes firmly set on London Olympics in 2012. The journey to the Olympics over the last few years has really been incredible. I have loved every step of the way and I look forward to continuing along this wonderfull path that I find myself on. I want to thank everyone for all the great support that I have received over the past few years, months, weeks and days leading up to the Games. I really appreciate all the support that I have received. Its amazing how many messages and good wishes I received. I could not reply to everyone, but I did receive them all and I appreciate every single message! Tomorrow our K4 girls will race the 500m final and then on sunday Jen will race the womens 500m K1 final. I want to wish them the best of luck and I will be there supporting them every stroke of the way.

Hi Shaun
Pal i am gutted for you. I am so proud of what you did. It will come. Never give up
